given:-
base of the right angle triangle=1.2m
hypotenuse of the right angle triangle=3.7m
we all know Pythagoras thereom to find the 3rd side, here's given the 3rd side but not the 1st side. though we will use the Pythagoras thereom.
a²+b²=c²
a²+1.2²=3.7²
a²+1.44=13.69
a²=13.69-1.44
a²=12.25
a=√12.25
a=3.5m
hence, the the altitude or the 1st side of the right angle triangle is 3.5m.
area of the right angle triangle=1/2×b×h
=1/2×1.2×3.5
=4.2/2
=2.2m²
