hello frnd!!

here's ur answer...

given:-

base of the right angle triangle=1.2m

hypotenuse of the right angle triangle=3.7m

we all know Pythagoras thereom to find the 3rd side, here's given the 3rd side but not the 1st side. though we will use the Pythagoras thereom.

a²+b²=c²

a²+1.2²=3.7²

a²+1.44=13.69

a²=13.69-1.44

a²=12.25

a=√12.25

a=3.5m

hence, the the altitude or the 1st side of the right angle triangle is 3.5m.

area of the right angle triangle=1/2×b×h

=1/2×1.2×3.5

=4.2/2

=2.2m²

hope this helps...
