Given :   ten hens take one week to lay fifty eggs

To Find :  How long will it take to lay two hundred dozen eggs?

How long will it take 25 hens to lay 1000 eggs?

How long will it take three hens to lay six hundred eggs?

Solution:

two hundred dozen eggs = 200 * 12 = 2400 eggs

2400/50  = 480 Week

ten hens take 480 weeks to lay  two hundred dozen eggs

ten hens take one week to lay fifty eggs

=> 1 hens take one week to lay 50/10 = 5 eggs

1 hens take one week to lay 5 eggs

=> 25 hens take one week to lay 5*25 = 125 eggs

1000/125 = 8

Hence  25 hens take 8 weeks to lay 1000 eggs

1 hens take one week to lay 5 eggs

=> 3 hens take one week to lay 15 eggs

600/15 = 40

Hence  three hens take 40  weeks to lay six hundred eggs

Below problems can have multiple solution:

6 twos to equal 1.

222/222 = 1

6 nines to equal 100

99 + 99/99 = 100

8 eights to equal 1000

888 + 88  + 8 + 8 + 8  = 1000

8 threes to equal 2

3 + 3  -  (3 + 3)/3 - (3 + 3)/3 = 2

4 + 4 + 4/4  = 9
