To accelerate the efforts to achieve universal sanitation coverage and to put focus on sanitation, the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, launched the Swachh Bharat Mission on 2nd October, 2014. The Mission Coordinator shall be Secretary, Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation (MDWS) with two Sub-Missions – the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) and the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban). The Mission aims to achieve a Swachh Bharat by 2019, as a fitting tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary.

swacha Bharat abhiyan is started by pm Narendra modi in 2014 it was a huge project launched by modi but nowadays people are folling this and trying to make the place,city , County more and more clean but still there are many people who had kept there mindset like why we should clean the dirt of others but they will not think that ,that place is belongs to them only in some places we can see the success of this project but in some place the situation is same as early to creat awareness amongst people to keep their city clean govt had made many advertisement regarding to swacha Bharat abhiyan and the birthday of Mahatma gandhi was declared as swacha Bharat abhiyan many celebrities had joined this mission for example kapil sharma , Sachin Tendulkar , vidhya balan etc we hope on day our country become one of the cleanest country in the world by this mission or we can say project
