Let AC = AB = r = radius of the circle

BC = 20 cm

In ∆ABC,

By using pythagorus theorem,

H² = B² + P²

(BC)² = (AC)² + (AB)²

(20)² = r² + r²

400 = 2r²

r² = 200

r = √200

r = 10√2

Area of circle = πr²

= 22/7 × (10√2)²

= 22/7 × (200)

= 4400/7

= 628/571 cm²
