Steps for IUPAC naming :-

1▪ Longest carbon chain is considered parent name


2▪ Substituents are named in alphabetical order


3▪Substituents are numbered from the side where they get lowest possible number .


4▪Double , triple bond is given preference while number .

5▪ If more substituents are attached on same carbon then number of that carbon is repeated


6▪ If two or more same substituents are attached then prefixe di , tri are used
