                       Ecological means the characteristic of the interdependence of living organisms in an environment. Every organism is invariably dependent on another for its existence. It either eats an organism or is consumed by other organisms for the survival. Some organisms compete with the other for food, shelter etc.

                        Such associations and concept of organisms and their environment constitute the science of ecology. Ecology can be defined as the "study of plants and animals and their relations to each other and their environment".
