ed cabbage contains a substance called flavin which acts as a pH indicator.
(A pH indicator is a substance that changes colour around a particular pH value. They are added to other substances to determine the pH.)
Results of adding cabbage juice to solutions of different pH values are shown below:

The red cabbage juice colour chart indicates the colour change it causes on addition to a substance with a particular pH value. For example, on adding red cabbage juice to a substance with pH 8.5, it will cause the colour to change to blue.
Arya wanted to test a Liquid X. She took a few drops of the liquid on a red litmus paper and observed a colour change from red to blue. She then took a few drops of Liquid X and added red cabbage juice to it. What of these colours could she definitely NOT have seen?
