My favourite city to live in is St Petersburg, Russia. It is true that it has long, cold winters but I still
like the city for many reasons. First, because it has beautiful architecture. The city was built during
the reign of Peter, the Great and there are many buildings of that period in different parts of the city
The most amazing architectures are found in the city's numerous palaces. In addition, the city has
great museums. Two examples are the State Hermitage Museum and the Russian Museum. The
State Hermitage Museum contains works by Picasso, Matisse and Monet. The third attraction of the
city is its walking culture. You can find people walking at any time of the day or night. People walk for
leisure or they walk to a shop, restaurant or work. Because of this walking culture, most people dress
nicely. Finally, St Petersburg has different types of public transportation. There are underground trains,
trolleys and buses that go to every part of the city. As a result, people do not have to own a car and
there is little traffic in most parts of the city. Whether you live in St Petersburg or just visit, it is a fantastic
place to be.
