Edta and sodium azide concentration for decellularization

BSA 0.5-1%, the presence of EDTA at 2-3 mM or sodium azide 0.1% in the buffer.

I thought to use as buffer 1% BSA and 3 mM of EDTA in PBS. But I do not know when I should use Sodium azide or if It is the same as EDTA.
