Education is kept under the concurrent list in the constitution of India. What advantages will we find if it is taken under the state list?

The advantages if education is brought under state list would be-  1) The government would be able to concentrate better on the people of a certain region.  2) Subjects and topics which are more relevant to the people would be included in the syllabus.  3) Each state can choose its own difficulty level depending upon the capability of students.   4) Monitoring and updating of course would become simpler and less cumbersome.  Lastly it would be advantageous for the children as well as the teachers of the state.

The education as a subject when brought under the state list from the concurrent list would bring following enlisted merits,

• State would become fully accountable for the subject of education.

• State government can focus on the betterment of the education based on the local needs.

• Every state can then modify the topics covered with reference to the particular state.

• State owns different level of understanding and that can be resolved through reflection over the same.

• Monitoring and up gradation of education system will have lesser level of implementation and so effective.
