Eelectricity is flow due to prence of electrons in metals but non metals also contains electrons they are also made up of atoms why? they are not conducting electricity

in metals electrons are free to move in their outermost orbit where in non metal they are not free to move

See metals have electrons which are lightly held by the nucleus of the atoms and thus they are known as free Electrons where as in non metals the electrons are strongly held by the nucleus of the atoms and thus there are no free electrons to conduct electricity
