Aromaticity is possessed by cyclic compound.

This property arises due to the delocalization of pi electrons in the compound.

To exhibit Aromaticity,

1) The compound must be planar.

2) It must be conjugated.

3) It must be cyclic.

4) It must contain (4n+2) pi electrons.

....... This is huckel's rule.

 \huge \mathbb \fcolorbox{black}{green}{ANSWER:}

The three rules of aromaticity are useful in predicting whether a particular compound is aromatic or non-aromatic.

(1) Aromatic compounds are cyclic and planar (all atoms in ring are sp^2 hybridized.)

(2) Each atom in aromatic ring has a p-orbital. The p-orbitals must be parallel so that continuous overlap is possible around the ring

(3) The cyclic molecular orbital formed by overlap of p-orbitals must contain (4n+2) p electrons, where n integer 0, 1, 2, 3, etc.
