It was reported that when chlorpyrifosapplied in the soil at lower doses (1 - 2 ppm), total CFU count increased between 12.08 - 13.42 × 10-3 cfu/g soil. Lower concentration of chlorpyrifos caused a stimulatory effect on fungal populationas they probably utilized it as energy source.
