When there is continuous rainfall the rain blocks the soil pores and the soil is not able to take in oxygen because roots of plants also need oxygen if they do not get sufficient amount of oxygen it will weaken the plant .
The effect of continuous rain on plants would be negative. This is because the constant water would make the plants cells burst making them die.
