COPRA : COPRA is a shortened form of the word Consumer Protection Act. It was passed in the year 1986. It was a boon to the consumers due to the following reasons:
1. It provided an effective medium for the consumers to make the court hear their grievances.
2. It also helped the consumer get protected from the exploitation of producers.
3. It also provided different levels of court which helped the reduction of claims to different amounts at different places. It also created Mass Awareness among consumers
