HERE IS THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION.....

1. Democracy was suspended in Germany for the period from 1933 to 1945 when the Nazis were in power. The Nazi government was a dictatorship under Hitler. People were expected to unconditionally obey the government.

2. Certain sections of the population in Germany faced severe discrimination during the Nazi regime. The Jews were particularly singled out for discriminatory treatment. Jews were prohibited from working in many professions. For example, Jews could not be doctors or teachers. Jewish owned businesses were boycotted by other Germans. The property of many Jews were confiscated by the Nazi government.

3. Hitler launched a war of aggression in Europe which led to the Second World War. Initially, Germany was victorious and occupied large parts of Europe. Subsequently, Germany faced defeat at the hands of the Western Allies (USA and Britain) and the USSR. Several German cities were destroyed as a result of the war and millions of German soldiers and civilians were killed. After the war, Germany was occupied by the Allies. The country was subsequently divided into East and West Germany, a division that persisted till 1990.

4. During the latter phases of war, particularly after the assassination attempt on Hitler on July 20, 1944, the Nazi government launched a campaign of terror in Germany. Anybody who was suspected to be involved in the assassination attempt was brutally tortured and killed. The general population of Germany suffered as a result of this terror campaign.

5. The Nazi government was evil, brutal and cruel. It had mostly negative effects on Germany. But it did have some minor positive effects also. For example, it built a network of modern and extensive highways in Germany and created an economic revival in Germany after the depression of 1930.
