Particle Size. A third factor that affects the rate of dissolving is thesize of solute particles. For a given amount of solute, smaller particleshave greater surface area. With greater surface area, there can be more contact between particles of solute and solvent.

heeyee mate here is ur answer...

Effect of particle size on the dissolution behaviors of poorly water-soluble drugs. ... The specific surface area with regard to the particle size was measured using a BET surface area measurement. The specific surface area increased with decreasing particle size of the drug, resulting in an increase in dissolution rate.

hope this will help you
