effect of solvent on sn2 reaction

Solvent and nucleophile both are important in SN2 reaction.
As SN2 is second degree kinetics reaction,so reaction rate=k[solvent][nucleophile].

where[.] represents concentration.
So for kinetics mechanism solvent is important.
