hey buddy !! here's your answer...

✔️turmeric solution turns reddish brown when treated with a base. since sodium hydroxide (NaOH) is a base , the solution will turn reddish brown.

there is a daily life example. when food containing turmeric spills on clothes , we wash it with soap and it turns reddish brown.

hope it helps !! ✌️❤️

" In acidic medium turmeric gives yellow colour and in basic medium it gives brownish red . Turmeric is used as a natural indicator and some other Natural indicator includes red cabbage, onion.Turmeric (being natural indicator)turns yellow when treated with acid and turns red with base."
