For parallel

1R=1/R¹+1/R²

so given is 3ohm

1/R¹+1/R²=3

R¹+R²/R=3 we take R=6

1+1/6=2/6=3

so ans is 6

Now 1/R= 1/r1 + 1/r2. -[ 1 ]

where R=3 ohm (given)

Now from [ 1 ] :

3=(r1 × r2)/r1 + r2

3=r^2/2r. (as r1 = r2 = r)

3=r/2

i.e. r=6 ohm =r1=r2
