Effectiveness and ineffectiveness of traffic officers on south African roads

    The South African government has taken many steps to help generate mass awareness about traffic rules in their country. They have been somewhat effective as it has reduced the frequency of accidents in certain areas and overall improved the traffic system of the country. South Africa is a backward country and it has low literacy rate.

   The government still needs to reach out to people who are poverty stricken and do not know a thing about traffic rules. This is the part where these campaigns have not shown much progress.
