The French Revolution had a great and far-reaching impact that probably transformed the world more than any other revolution. Its repercussions include lessening the importance of religion; rise of Modern Nationalism; spread of Liberalism and igniting the Age of Revolutions.

Answer:

French revolution gave mixed after effects to the society especially in France and in many parts of Europe.

  • Positive effects of French Revolution

1)  Constitution was drafted and the powers of the monarch or king were limited.

2)  Democratic ideals like feudalism that is, power being distributed among different institutions like legislative, executive and judiciary were first created on the awake of French Revolution

3)  Citizens were allowed to vote their representatives to the Assembly of France and the Constitution granted law making powers to Assembly

  • Negative Effects of French Revolution

1)  Only men, of whom are above 25 years of age and who paid taxes regularly, were entitled to vote. In other words, highest taxpayers were considered as active citizens or voters by the French Assembly

 2)  Women, middle class or less prosperous and the poor were denied the right to vote.  This discrimination made them to protest against Assembly through associations or clubs
