Globalization has impact on every sector of Indian economy in the form of bigger market , new and advanced technology , more efficient ways of production in cost effective quantity and quality based enhancement.
And agricultural is not different from that .
After green revolution there is food sufficiency , more produce available to all for sale in market and steedy rise in agri export can be seen .
But thinks come in a half way like - improper technology adoption , lack of management . no information about judicious use of inputs as fertilizer , pesticides and seed amount and its quality, water needed etc .
All this give half and less productive result with continued degradation of soil fertility.
Apart from this globalization has other effect also like :
Support given by govt. to farmer in subsidy form is taken distorting global market by WTO and bigger economies , now they want sharp cut in that along with free trade for big economies in Indian market , which would furtur harm the local market .
Cheaper import distort local market , farmer are not getting incentive and ptoper remuneration because of bigger global market to serve the purpose of farmers behalf etc .
But overall it is fruitful , what is lacking is proper control , good implementation of technology , better administration and chance provided to every farm to represent themselves at wider global level .
