1 foriegn goods were boycotted.
2. huge bonfires were held in cities wherein people joint to burn foreign goods.
3. with the spread of this movement people only wore swadeshi goods and thus there was a reduction in british sales.

In many places merchants and traders refused to trade in foreign goods or finance foreign trade.
As boycott movt spread, people began discarding imported clothes and started wearing indian cloth due to which indian textile mills went up
