the effects are as follows ..

Yamuna has become lifeless because of pollution and oil spill

the water contains about 90% of of toxic bacterial bacterial compounds and only 10 percent of water

The yamuna once had clear water but now the river is one of the most polluted river in the world due to the following reasons :
1. Moreover increase in urban population is also increasing the pollution in the river
2. The river has become like a drainage , fishes are dying due to this.
