Efficiency of electron cause negative charge.give reason.

CHARGE on electron was decided to be CALLED as negative , it was not found as it was negative.

positive and negative concept were developed by physicists and the positive term could have been alloted to electron also . But still the behaviour of electron would have been same in the electric field and magnetic field as now after being called negative.

So it was decided that whichever particle will behave like elctron in externally applied electric and magnetic field ,then we would call that particle have negative charge...

So if electron would have been alloted the positive charge by physicists even then the behaviour of all other particles including electron would have been the same-----------------THE DIFFERENCE WOULD HAVE BEEN THAT ALL TODAYS POSITIVE PARTICLES WOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED AS NEGATIVE CHARGED AND VICE  VERSA.

So remember it was just a sign convention adopted for electron type behviour in electric field and magnetic field to be called  as negative charge and the opposite behaviour as  positive..
