Efficiency of genelia is 25% more than jessica and jessica takes 25 days to complete a piece of work. genelia started a work alone and then jessica joined her 5 days before actual completion of the work, for how many days jenelia worked alone

Jessica can complete the work in 25 days

Genelia is 25% more efficient than Jessica

So, Genelia can complete the work in (25/125 ) * 100 = 20 days

Now, both together can complete entire work in x days

1/x = 1/20 + 1/25

X = 100/9

Together, they can complete in 100/9 days

Let ‘y’ be no. of days Genelia worked alone

y/20 + 5/ (100/9) = 1

= > y = 11

So, Genelia worked alone for 11 days.
