efflux and influx effect in reservior in ecosystem

The rate of influx is not always equal to that of efflux for eg the amount of nitrogen utilised from atmosphere is greater than the amount fixed to the atmosphere by nitrogen fixing bacteria so the reservoir meets the deficit occurred during efflux
