Hey !!

Thanks for the question .

Well Eid - al - adha is a Muslim festival. Which is celebrated all over the world. Eid - al - adha is also known as " Bakrid ". In urdu Bakra means goat and Eid means festival in simple words Bakrid is the festival of sacrificing goat. So what's sacrificing of goat and why we sacrifice goat ?

Going to the past during the period of starting of Islam. Ibrahim a prophet of Islam was in a situation to prove himself as a devotee of Allah. Angles and other prophets demand Allah to prove Ibrahim's devotion towards Allah. Ibrahim got a dream that he should sacrifice his son Ismail. Ibrahim accepts it and next day Ibrahim says her wife Hajira to ready him. As, Ibrahim says lie to his wife taking him to a function/event. Ismail takes him a lonely place to sacrifice Ismail. When Ibrahim keeps knife on his neck in place of Ismail a goat appears by the magic of Gibrael. Hence from that incident we celebrate Bakrid and sacrifice goats and other animals.

One more special thing about Bakrid is that every year in Mecca we can see observe a special worship called Hajj. People from different parts of the world go to Mecca to offer their prayers. It's mandatory for muslim to offer Hajj.

The difference between Bakrid and Ramzan is that, Ramzan is celebrated to help poor people. Fitr means to help poor in the form of giving money. Zakat is also given to the poor in this festival.

Id ul fitr is celebrated after thr month of ramadan. It is celebrated to give a good farewell to ramadan.Whereas Id ul adha has its own story .
once one of our nabi saw in his dream that allah is asking for sacrifice of his most precious thing. His only precious thing was his son. So he took him for sacrifice. But when he was about to give sacrifice of his son , another nabi replaced the son with a goat. The father was blindfolded as he couldn't see his son's sacrifice but he was so pious that he couldn't deny allah. So when the son was replaced, that goat was sacrificed instead of his son. By this allay wanted to take test of our nabi. So to remember his sacrifice we celebrate eid.

In actual sense eid ul adha is the major eid. And there is another eid milad un nabi which ie the birthday of our Rasul S.A.W.

EID UL ADHA is celebrated nearly one and a quarter month after EID UL FITR.

Eid ul fitr is for helping poor and eid ul adha is in joy of completing haj to of fortunate people.
