.) the Electoral College. This is an antiquated system that should have been done away with a long time ago. Candidates should be elected by popular vote only.

.) Gerrymandering. This should not be allowed as it is an illegal way to favor one candidate over others.

.) Purging voters from the election rolls. Many people showed up to vote and found they were no longer registered to vote.

.) Voting machines. They are too easily accessible to hacking, which can purge many voters registered to any particular party. There should always be a paper trail that is thoroughly checked to make sure the machines have not been tampered with.

.) Excessive donations by lobbyists, wealthy donors and large corporations. These people expect favors returned from the recipients of their money. This causes legislators to either block legislation that doesn’t favor their donors, or to pass legislation that favors their donors. Right now, we have a “bought” Republican party.

Wouldn’t it be nice if at the beginning of an election cycle that every time a candidate lies, his/her nose would grow. By election time, we would be able to tell who to vote for - the one with the shortest nose!
