Let the eight consecutive nos. be
X, x+1,x+2,x+3,x+4,x+5,x+6,x+7
Then the two middle nos. are x+3 and x+4
Their average = x+3+x+4/2 = 6
2x+7= 12
X = 5/2 = 2.5
So their sum 8x + 28 = 8*2.5+28= 20+28=48
