Total numbers are 8
Now ,
Let the smallest number be x
So,

The consecutive numbers will be

X, x+1, x+2, x+3,x+4,x+5,x+6,x+7

Now ,
The middle numbers are
X+3 and X+4

Now ,
There average is given 6.
So,
 \frac{x + 3 + x + 4}{2}  = 6 \\ \\  2x + 7 = 12 \\ 2x = 12 - 7 = 5 \\ x =  \frac{5}{2}  = 2.5
Now

The numbers are
2.5, 3.5, 4.5, 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, 8.5, 9.5

Sum of all the numbers is 48

So ,
The sum of 8 given numbers is 8
