Eight tins of paint are required
for a surface of an area 50m², if 4
coats of paints are applied. Find the
number of tins of paint need for an
area of 70m² if 5 coats of paint
are applied.​

number of tins =8

area of surface =50m²

if four coats are applied on 50 m² area of wall it takes total 8 tins

so , for one coats = 8/4 =2 tins are required on wall of area 50m ²

means one tin of paint is required for 25 m²

it the area of wall is 50 m² and we have paint it in 5 coats so we required 10 Tins because for 1 coat of paint we use 2 tins so for 5 coats we use 10 tins

But the area of wall is 70 m² if we subtract 50m² from 70 m² .We get 20m² of wall extra means if we cover 20m² of wall 5 times its area is 100 m² because we coted a layer of paint again and again

so for 50 m² we need 2 tins of paint so for 100m² we need 4 tins of paint

so total number of tins are required to paint 70m² of wall 5 times is 10 tins + 4 tins = 14 tins
