A Truly Beautiful Mind

Answer:

  • Discoveries such as General Theory of Relativity in 1915, which was proved by a solar eclipse in 1919, proved Einstein a genius physicist. However he was not only a scientist but also a true human being.
  • When the Nazis came to power in Germany in 1933, Einstein emigrated to the United States. After the discovery of nuclear fusion, he wrote a letter to Franklin D. Roosevelt, the then President of the United States, warning him its effects. It caused Americans to discover their own atom bomb and to drop the bomb in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
  • Einstein was deeply saddened by this and he wrote a letter to the United Nations with public message. In which, he mentioned the creation of World Government, but this letter did not make any impact.
  • Over the next years of his life, Einstein joined politics and started campaigning for peace and democracy. This way Einstein proved to be a world citizen.
