Case-1

Let, the C.P. of the radio be, 'x'

Profit = (x×20/100)

          = x/5

S.P. = (x+x/5)

      = (5x+x)/5

      = 6x/5

According to the given condition,

6x/5=600

⇒x =600×5/6

⇒x=100×5

⇒x=₹ 500

Case-2

C.P.=₹500

15% of ₹ 500=(500×15/100)

                     =(5×15)

                    = ₹ 75

∴ Profit = ₹ 75

∴ S.P. = ₹(500+75)

          = ₹ 575

∴ The cost price of the radio is ₹ 575
