• Let the first mixture be m litres.
• So quantity of milk will be 3m/9

• Now let the second mixture be n litres.
• So quantity of milk will be 6n/7
• Also quantity of water will be n/7
• So now the mixtures are mixed
• Quantity of milk will be 3m/9 + 6n/7
• Quantity of water will be 6m/9 + n/7
• According to the question we have
•       Milk / Water = 7/3
•       3m/9 + 6n/7 / 6m/9 + n/7 = 7/3
•      21m + 54n / 63 / 42 m + 9n / 63
•        21 m + 54 n / 42 m + 9n = 7/3
•          63m + 162 n = 294 m + 63 n
•                    231 m = 99 n
