Solution:

Let "x" be the initial S.P. of 1 mango.

Profit% = 25%

∴ C.P.of 1 mango = $\frac{100}{100 + P\%} \times S.P. = \frac{100}{100 + 25} \times x = \frac{100}{125}x= \frac{4x}{5}$

Now, as given in the question, we can form the equation as,

$x + 1 = \frac{100 + 50}{100 } \times \frac{4x}{5}$

$\implies x + 1 = \frac{1 50}{100 } \times \frac{4x}{5}$

$\implies x + 1 = \frac{3}{2 } \times \frac{4x}{5}$

$\implies x + 1 = \frac{6x}{5}$

$\implies \frac{6x}{5} - x = 1$

$\implies \frac{6x - 5x}{5} = 1$

$\implies \frac{x}{5} = 1$

$\implies \bold{x = 5}$

Thus, at first, the selling price of one mango is → Rs. 5.
