  • Also New Time = 360 / x + 5

  •     360 / x = 360 / x + 5 + 4/5
  •      360 / x – 360 / x + 5 = 4/5
  •       360 (1/x – 1/x + 5) = 4/5
  •        90 (x + 5 – x / x (x + 5) ) = 4/5
  •            x^2 + 5x = 450 x 5
  •            x^2 + 5x – 2250 = 0
  •            x^2 + 50 x – 45x – 2250 = 0
  •            x(x + 50) – 45(x + 50) = 0
  •              (x + 50) (x – 45) = 0
  •            So x = - 50, 45
  • Since speed cannot be negative we get speed = 45 km/.hr
