एक ट्रेन में उतने ही डिब्बे है। जितनी कि प्रत्येक डिब्बे में सीटें है। एक डिब्बे में 20 व्यक्ति है। जो कि उनकी क्षमता का 500/7% है। अधिकतम यात्रियों की संख्या ज्ञात करे । यदि 25% स्थान हमेशा खाली रहे ।​

Let number of bogies in train = x

As per the question statement,

Number of seats in one bogie = Number of bogies in the train.

So, number of maximum seats in a bogie = x

As given in the question statement,

20 = \dfrac{500}{7}\% \times \text{Maximum seats in a bogie}\\\Rightarrow 20 = \dfrac{5}{7}x\\\Rightarrow x = 28

i.e. Number of bogies = Number of maximum seats in a bogie = 28

\text{Total maximum capacity of train = Number of bogies} \times \text{Maximum capacity of a bogie}\\\Rightarrow 28 \times 28

Also, 25% of the total maximum capacity of train has to be empty.

So, only 75% of total maximum capacity of train will be occupied.

Hence, maximum number of passengers can be = 28 \times 28 \times 75\%

\Rightarrow 28 \times 28 \times \dfrac{3}{4}\\\Rightarrow 28 \times 21\\\Rightarrow 588

The answer is:

Maximum number of passengers can be 588.
