Theory :

Davisson & Germer designed an experiment to study the wave properties of e-(s).

Here the e-(s) emitted by the hot filament of an electron gun are accelerated by applying a suitable potential difference, V b/w Cathode & Anode. The beam of e-(s) from the electron gun is directed towards the face of Ni crystal...... The e-(s) scattered are collected by movable detector. Thus we measure the intensity of e- as a function of scattering angle.
