Hey,
Population geography is a division of human geography. It is the study of the ways in which spatial variations in the distribution, composition, migration, and growth of populations are related to the nature of places.
In brief,Population Geography studies the spatial aspects of the population. For eg:
How Population increases in a city that's an area of study of DEMOGRAPHY .
But if we discuss why the population of India is more than Russia ,striking at the spatial differences, becomes the area of study of GEOGRAPHY .
Scope of population Geography:
1.Urban planning:Planning according to the resources available ,making an efficient use of the geographical area.
2.Rural planning: Reducing the inequalities of resources.
Similarly,we can have many scopes in population Geography provided the multi-dimensional nature of the subject.
