Answer:

The Ganges River emerges from the Himalayas at the town of Rishikesh where it begins to flow onto the Indo-Gangetic Plain. It passes through  Chunar, Kolkata, Mirzapur, and Varanasi. Once the Ganges River flows out of India and into Bangladesh its main branch is known as the Padma River ( Ganges and brahmaputra together are known as padma in Bangladesh) It drains itself in the Bay Of Bengal to form the worlds largest delta - The Sundarban delta
