Elaborate upon the role of women during war and peace in Vietnam.

Women in Vietnam enjoyed more freedom than in China , and also  the lower classes also enjoyed equal freedom. But women had only limited freedom and couldn't  take any decisions of their own , and hence , played no role in public life.
With the rise of nationalism , the writers and thinkers projected women as rebels against social norms.
Women not only fought battles during the war , but also helped in helping the injured .
Women also played an equal role in the rebuilding of the economy during peace time.
Women were depicted as warriors , workers , nurses , etc.
