1).In elastic collision kinetic energy is conserved.
2).momentum is conserved.
3).During collision K. E is not lost .
whereas inelastic collision
1).kinetic energy is not conserved
2).Themomentum is the only quantity that is conserved
3) K. E in inelastic collision transformed to other form of energy.

Elastic collision: it is the collision in which both momentum and KE of system are consumed

Ex: collision between two glass blow

Inelastic collision:it is a collision in which momentum is converted but not KE

Ex:1. collision between vehicle

2. Collision between two wet clay ball
