Election are held regularly in China but China is not a democratic country .Why?? its urgent answer plzz

democratic country mean the people of that country choose their leader but in China the member of parliament choose their leader for their suitable ness

In a democratic country , people should have the right to choose but in the case of china there is no choice for the people as china has one party system. That is why china is not considered democratic even if it conducts elections.
