INDIA IS A DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY.

HERE, GOVERNMENT IS NOT HEREDITARY. IT' S THE CITIZENS OF INDIA WHO CHOOSE THEIR ADMINISTRATOR.

ELECTIONS ARE OF TWO TYPES. DIRECT AND INDIRECT.

IT IS THROUGH THE DIRECT ELECTIONS THAT PEOPLE CAST THEIR VOTES AND BRING THE LEADER OF THEIR CHOICE SO THAT THE SOCIETY AS A WHOLE DEVELOPS.

FROM THE PAST MORE THAN 70  YEARS, THE NATIONAL CONGRESS WAS RULING . BUT SINCE THE PEOPLE WERE DISCONTENTED WITH THE GOVERNMENT, THE CONGRESS DIDN'T COME TO THE GOVERNMENT I 2014 ELECTIONS.

PEOPLE HAD HOPE THAT THE NEW GOVERNMENT OF BJP WILL LOOK INTO THEIR ISSUES AND HELP THEM TO PROSPER,

AND THIS 5 YRS. OF BJP GOVT. HAS ENDED GIVING WAY TO NEW ELECTIONS WHICH ARE BEING CURRENTLY HELD IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE COUNTRY.

THUS , ONE CAN SAY THAT "Elections offer a choice and fair opportunities to the people to change the government".

HOPE THIS HELPS:
