Electric Bell Structure

Electric bells consist of the following components :-

1. Electromagnet it consists of a coil of wire wound on a soft iron core that acts as electromagnet when electric current is passed.

2. Armature An armature is a piece of iron which is kept close to the Electromagnet facing its pole.

3. Hammer the hammer at one end of armature strikes the gong to produce sound.

4. Interrupter to make the bell ring continuously advice needed to keep the hammer moving back and fourth, this device is called

interrupter.

An electric bell is a mechanical bell that functions by means of an electromagnet. when an electric current is passed it produces a repetitive buzzing aur clanging sound.
