Electric bulbs switched on for a long time produce large amount of heat when the tungsten filament glows. Even though glass is a conductor of heat the bulb does not  break due to the presence of nitrogen in it.

an inert gas is usually present in the bulb to maintain the inside and outside pressure at the same level. Argon can also be used

Globule doesn't break since argon gas is filled in the knob, and argon gas is ideal encasing of warmth so in view of argon gas, warm isn't exchanged to glass and glass don't break.

The tungsten fiber is ordinarily at 2500 °C in globules which is well over the temperature nichrome and copper softening focuses or even near breaking points.

Copper is a decent transmitter.

You require some protection from make it warm up and gleam to be helpful as a light source.
