Electric bulbs switched on for to long produce a large amount of heat when the tungsten and filament glows. Even if glass is a conducter of heat , the bulb doesn't break. Why ?

This is because Argon is filled in the bulb at the time of manufacturing. This prevents the breaking of glass.
