Electric current flows through a metallic conductor from its one end A to other end B. Which end of the conductor is at higher potential? Why?

Answer:

Obviously end a is at higher potential and end b is at lower potential, as current always flow from higher potential to lower potential as you said Electric ( conventional current ). But the electrons will flow from end b ( lower potential) to end a ( higher potential).

the point a is at higher potential because the current is flowing from a to b means the electrons are flowing from b to a and the electrons flow towards the high potential which is point a in this case.
